MoreK-Wrap
Kindergarten Wrap is a convenient program for working parents who need child care after the child's scheduled Kindergarten session. Educational activities and playtime are included to complement the Kindergarten experience. Transportation is provided by Saline School transportation for A.M. Kindergartners. The K-Wrap day will include large circle where we will be doing movement songs and the daily calendar. Miss Kristen will then read aloud to the children, followed by the lesson of the day. The children will have center choices, where children will move from center to center in groups. We will utilize Handwriting Without Tears to teach the children the proper way to write letters and numbers, in a fun way.
The K-Wrap Schedule:
- 12:15 - 12:25
- Arrival
- 12:25 - 1:15
- Lunch and Literacy
- 1:15 - 2:00
- Outdoor Activities*
- 2:00 - 2:30
- Plan Time/Large Circle
- 2:30 - 3:30
- Do Time/Centers (4 centers for 15 min each: 3 independent, 1 teacher-directed)
- 3:30 - 3:40
- Review Time/Clean Up
- 3:40 - 4:00
- Snack
- 4:00 - 4:45
- Outdoor Activities*
- 4:45 - 6:00
- Child-initiated and teacher-supported activities

Kristen Knieper is the Lead Teacher of the Kindergarten Wrap program. Miss Kristen has worked at Bemis Farms since 2008. She has an Associates Degree in Early Elementary Education from Washtenaw Community College, and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University.
