Pre-K, K/Wrap and Extended Care
Before School
Bemis Farms staff members provide the right start to your child's day with attentive care before school begins. Drop off is available at 6:45 a.m., and your child is dismissed to the classroom before school begins at 8:45.
After School
Bemis Farms staff members meet your child when school is dismissed at 3:45 for After School Care. This includes a snack, individual or group activities, time to play with friends, and time to get started on homework. The After School Schedule:
- 3:30-4:00
- Snack/Welcome Routine
- 4:00-4:45
- Choices (homework help, creative project, child initiated games)
- 4:45-5:00
- Clean up
- 5:00-6:00
- Outside or teacher initiated activity
K-Wrap
K-Wrap is a convenient program for working parents who need child care before or after the child's scheduled Kindergarten session. Educational activities and playtime are included to complement the Kindergarten experience.
The K-Wrap Schedule:
- 8:45-9:30
- Choices (art, language arts, math, science, building, dramatic play)
- 9:30-10:30
- Group Time
- 10:30-11:00
- Table Top Choices
- 11:00-11:30
- Outside
- 11:30-11:40
- Clean up
- 11:40-12:15
- Lunch

Pre-K
Bemis Farms' Pre-K program provides your child with letter recognition, phonics, number recognition, shapes, and colors. We also work on names, phone numbers, and addresses in addition to other Lincoln Kindergarten curriculum guidelines. We offer Morning, Afternoon, or Full-Day options. Morning times are 8:50 - 11:50, afternoon times are 12:50 - 3:50, and Full-Day times are 6:45 - 6:00.

Model Elementary School
Bemis Farms is located inside Model Elementary, in classroom 45, and is taught by co-teachers Libby Woods and Katie Beckington.
Elizabeth Woods (Miss Libby) has been working at Bemis Farms since 2003, and is currently at Model Elementary co-teaching our Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Enrichment program. Miss Libby has completed her CDA Certificate, and is working on a degree from Washtenaw Community College.
Katie Beckington joined our Model staff this past summer. Katie has a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Illinois University, and is currently working towards a Master's degree in Reading.
