Extended Care, Half Days & No School Days
1/2 days and days in which school is not is session are planned with themes and special events.
Brick Elementary students go to Redner Elementary for Extended Care.
Children have the ability to plan and participate in our Kids Clubs in the morning and afternoon sessions of Extended Care. The children nominate, vote, and then participate in various clubs -- Lego Club, Art Club, Math Club, Pokemon Club, etc. At the end of each Kids Club session, children complete an evaluation with our staff.
Before School
Bemis Farms staff members provide the right start to your child's day with attentive care before school begins. Drop off is available at 6:45 a.m., and your child is dismissed to the classroom before school begins.
Before School Schedule:
- 6:45-7:15
- Games and Activities
- 7:15-8:00
- Homework and Quiet Reading
- 8:00-8:30
- Group Games & Motor Activities in Gymnasium
- 8:30-8:45
- Cleanup & Attendance
After School
Bemis Farms staff members meet your child when school is dismissed for After School Care. This includes a snack, individual or group activities, time to play with friends, and time to get started on homework.
The After School Schedule:
- 3:30-4:00
- Snack/Welcome Routine
- 4:00-4:45
- Choices (homework help, creative project, child initiated games)
- 4:45-5:00
- Clean up
- 5:00-6:00
- Outside or teacher initiated activity
Times may very depending upon the ages of the children.
Kira Dallaire is the Lead Teacher of the Redner & Brick Elementary before & after school programs. Miss Kira has been with Bemis Farms since 2007. She is a graduate of Haslett High School, and is actively working towards her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, with a Major in Reading.
