Bemis Farms provides a complete program, based on the HighScope Curriculum, that focuses on active participatory learning.

See how your child will develop – and prepare for school – during their time at Bemis Farms below.

In the HighScope Curriculum, learning is focused on the five dimensions of school readiness:

  • Approaches to learning
  • Language, literacy, and communication
  • Social and emotional development
  • Physical development, health and well‐being
  • Arts and sciences

Infant/Toddler Groups

Our Infant/Toddler Curriculum is child focused and designed to integrate all aspects of child development. It does this through an approach based on five key principles: active learning for children, warm and supportive adult-child interactions, a welcoming, child-oriented physical environment, schedules and routines that flow with the children, and daily child observations that guide teamwork among staff and parents.

Preschool Groups

Our Preschool Curriculum takes the learning process beyond traditional academic subjects by applying methods that promote independence, curiosity, decision making, cooperation, persistence, creativity, and problem solving in young children.

To meet the needs of the developing child and provide quality care, the staff at Bemis Farms strives to:

Provide a healthy and safe environment

Provide a secure, comfortable, enjoyable, and responsive environment

Respect, accept, and appreciate each child

Provide learning opportunities designed to promote each child’s total growth and development

Encourage each child’s independence, autonomy, and self-discipline

Maintain an environment free of racial or sex role bias, stereotype, or prejudice

Honor the ideals and principles of the National Association of the Education of the Young child (NAEYC) Code of Ethical Conduct
